“I arrived in Malaysia from Hong Kong last week and spend several hours in the immigration department. One thing that I can say, the weather in this airport is hot! Then we spend a week at Port Dickson. I love the beach and stay in a resort that is facing a beautiful island. I’m here because I want my fans to be happy because this is my first appearance in Malaysia and meeting my fans that are following me via MySpace. By the way, I love South East Asia because there’s a lot of people follow my music career”, said Joe Brooks in an interview at Sony Music (Malaysia) office last Monday.

Joe Brooks said that music influence his life especially from his parents, Noel and Sally that are also love music. ‘I start playing guitar when I’m 16 years old and until now (24 years old). Speaking of a new album, I’m looking forward and want to focus to reduce the amount of songs in an album. It can make the listeners bored especially teenagers who can listen to my music. What’s more entertaining me when you produced six fantastic songs then a dozen of songs which only one or two hit song because you don’t know which song you want to listen. That’s my ultimate goal. I compose music with my guitar and write the lyrics and collaborate with other composers,’ said Joe.
Joe Brooks hope he can meet his Malaysian fans this week (he went to various places to promote his concert including some TV shows, radio interview and live chat session with his fans). On a TV show ‘Bella’, Joe Brooks talks about his music principle and process when he producing a song. ‘I try to pull inspiration from the things around me, experiences and other person experience. I found it difficult actually to write about things that I haven’t experience and when I’m in Port Dickson last week, I wrote about an island that I can see from my hotel room and just the things around me like traveling, relationship and other thing. It can connect other people if you keep honest,’ said Joe Brooks.
Joe Brooks said the Malaysian fans are the best fan ever! Joe Brooks also told that he wrote a whole song and the melodies in a car. When Joe Brooks was 19 years old, he moved to Las Angeles and stayed at his friend house for 2 years because Joe wants to pursue his dreams in the music industry. There’s some funny story about Joe Brooks with his fans! When Joe went to male toilet yesterday, a man asked Joe ‘You’re Joe Brooks right?’ when Joe want to do his ‘business’ in the toilet. The fan asked Joe to take some photos with Joe and both of them take photos in the male toilet. LOL! Joe Brooks also perform his song entitled ‘Till My Heart Stop Beating’ on that show. Joe Brooks also said that he will perform a new song for his Malaysian fans tomorrow. Kuala Lumpur has the biggest online hits on Joe's website, and he loves it! Joe Brooks and his band mates said Malaysian McDonalds is so much better than America's McDonald's and they may be missing out on nasi lemak. Remember Brookies! We'll be listening to Joe Brooks' new song, 'Toronto,' tomorrow and Malaysian fans are going to be the first ones ever to hear it! Joe Brooks says that all the Malaysian fans can expect them back very soon. Maybe even in the summer! yay!!
